Provincial Grand Chapter (Business Meeting) 4th November 2024

On the crisp autumn morning of 4th November 2024, members of the Provincial Grand Chapter convened for paried-down Business Meeting instead of the regular meeting usually held at Great Queen Street London. Unfortunanly this year London tube strike had been announced which would have meaning many either couldn’t attend or would have found the journey difficult. Therefore it was decided that a simple business meeting would be held at Ashwell House, St Albans. The meeting reflected the ongoing commitment of the Provincial Grand Chapter to its foundational principles, administrative excellence, and forward thinking strategies.

The proceedings began with the ceremonial opening, marked by the dignified entrance of E Comp David Hampton and the Provincial Officers. Their professionalism set the tone for what would be a productive and reflective meeting. The Deputy Grand Superintendent in Charge, E Comp Hampton, welcomed all Companions warmly, expressing gratitude for their dedication and attendance.

The Deputy Grand Superintendent in Charge Companions expressed his thanks to the ProvGScE, E. Comp David Broomer, the ProvAGScE, E Comp. Iain Green and their team for their tireless work over the past year spent on the now postponed Annual Provincial Convocation and for putting the Business meeting together at such short notice.

Sadly the Deputy Grand Superintendent in Charge, could not invest those Companions who have received either their first Appointment, their re-Appointment or Promotion in Provincial Grand Chapter, but was looking forward to doing so at the Investiture Meeting in January (date to be announced).
